Does the Peace Corps look good on an application to Harvard Business School?
I mean how does Harvard Business School view the peace corps?…Would it look good on ur resume?
If you have actually served in the Peace Corps, it would look great. On your resume, or “vita”, be sure to explain where you worked, what skills you used, and the term of service. If you learned and used a foreign language, put that down too.
The reason why it’s important, it shows you have applied your high school education, and have become more “cosmopolitan”, have some experience in a country outside the USA.
Also, you probably have built up a reserve of “cash” from your working for Peace Corps.
They used to put a part of your pay away for use in education (it was tax free), not sure if they still do that — much like the military does, helping you to pay for your college expenses.
So, it’s a win-win for Harvard to select you over other applicants.
